Budget Training for Transitional Government of Somalia officials in November 2011: HESPI assisted the Transitional Government of Somalia (TFG) in the formulation of the 2012 National Budget by a team of officials, from the TFG Ministry of Finance, and other Ministries and agencies, who were trained in Addis Ababa.

Treasury Training November 2011, Kampala, Uganda: A  hands-on-training program on Treasury functions was conducted for staff members of the Ministry of Finance of Somalia at the Accountant General's department of the Ministry of Finance of Uganda in November 2011 in Kampala.

Training on Treasury Functions for Officials of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia: To assist in the capacity building efforts of the Ministry of Finance of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia, the Institute conducted a training program to enhance the skills of selected Treasury staff in Nairobi, in April 2011.
