Call for External Audit Service

The Horn Economic and Social Policy Institute (HESPI) is an independent, non for profit organization that promotes high quality policy research and institutional capacity building in the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) region and its member countries. HESPI wishes to engage the services of an external audit firm for the purpose of auditing the Institute’s overall Book of Accounts and the SIDA supported project entitled “Enhancing the Role of Civil Society in Public Finance Management and Financial Transparency and Accountability in Selected IGAD member countries.”
The objective of this consultancy service is to audit HESPI overall account for the year 2023 and to produce specific audit report for the SIDA project for the period January 2023 to June 2024. The audit exercise will assess the soundness of financial management and internal control systems through enabling the Auditor to access all the financial records and express a professional opinion on the project’s Financial Statement for the indicated period. The applicant for this role should be properly trained, qualified and experienced in applying ISA Audit Standards. The Auditor must have certificate of practice and be licensed by the appropriate Ethiopian Government Authority with a minimum of ACCA or CPA qualifications. In addition, the firm must be under the approved and registered Authorized Auditors list of Accounting and Audit Board of Ethiopia (AABE).
The closing date for submission of the application is April 30,2024 @ 5:00 PM Addis Ababa Time. The applications must enclose both Technical and Financial Proposals and all required documents as detailed in the full TOR of the assignment.
